A. God is in search of relationships with people.
B. The drama of human beginnings would be staged against this backdrop of a God determined to establish
a missional partnership with part of humanity in order to establish a relationship with all creatures bearing
divine image.

GOD'S COVENANT WITH ISRAEL
A. God established a partnership with Israel in His redemptive mission.
B. God designated them as "Kingdom of Priests" , Genesis 41:45; 47:23,26.
C, This covenant carries with its testings and privileges.
1. Intimacy with the Almighty.
2. Heightened sense of accountability.
3. Complete reliance on God.
4. Severe testings.
D. Israel violated the Law (Covenant Agreement)
E. Purpose of the Law (Od Covenant)
1. To set apart Israel from their pagan neighbors.
2. It was not a "means of salvation" but "terms of the agreement of loyalty" that Israel had with God.
3. To lead us to Christ. Galatians 3:24.

Relationship of Christian to the Old Testament Law
1. O.T. law is a covenant-binding contracts between God and Israel.
2. Old Covenant is not our covenant. None of its stipulations are binding on us unless they are renewed in
the New Testament.
3.Two kindsa of Old covenant laws is renewed in the New coventant:
1. Israelite civil laws
2. Isrtaelite ritual laws.
4. Part of the Old covenant is renewed in the New coventant
O.T, Ethical laws - Love the LORD... love your neighbor.
5. All of the O.T. law is still the Word of God to us.
Israel's story helps us to understand our story.
6. Only that which is exlicitly renewed from the O.T. law can be considered part of the N.T. "law of Christ",
Galatians 6:2; Ten Commandments - Matthew 5:21-37; 2 Great Commandments from Deut. 6:5 and
Leviticus 19:18.

The Law shows us how impossible to please God on our own, Romans 3:20; Hebrews 11:6
The Law shows us how unworthy we are to belong to God.
- we need to be humbled to appreciate God's gift of salvation.
-we ought o praise and thank God for providing a way for us to be accepted in His sight apart from humanly
fulfilling the O.T. law. For otherwise we would have no hope of all in pleasing Him. Ephesians 2:8,9; Titus 3:5; Romans 8:1

It is for our own sin that He died,,, Unless we confron and confess our sins, humbly come to Jesus, we will not be healed.Philippine International Churchhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/14300392614921225373noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9207890336262863865.post-82684714605649882722013-03-12T09:41:00.001-04:002013-03-12T09:41:58.920-04:00PIBC CHURCHES JOINT GOOD FRIDAY SERVICEJOIN US AS WE CELEBRATE THE SIGNIFICANCE OF THE CROSS
Out of so many attempts at generating interest from the neighborhood, it was a real surprise to find out that putting up those basketball rims would cause such a big draw.

Philippine International Churchhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/14300392614921225373noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9207890336262863865.post-77547077479132905542011-07-05T15:37:00.011-04:002012-01-07T19:00:04.098-05:00FAMILY RETREAT CAMP 2011

Campers of the year:

Little Mr:- Tyler Ando -Little Miss: Rachel Arcilla

Mr. Camper: Jeff Vialu -Miss Camper: Honey Lesada

Mr. & Mrs. Mike and Jillian Santos

Group of PIBC Churches joined together for a great weekend last June 30th to July 2nd at Bambi Lake Retreat and Conference Center in Roscommon, MI.

We had a very relaxing, refreshing and reviving family camp. Dr. Bobby Gilstrap had a very challenging message on the book of Jonah:

A. It is composed of people from all walks of life, different backgrounds, nationalities and age group who at one point in their lives were in a search for meaning and purpose or just simply looking for a place they could belong to. A place where friendships bloom, relationships kindle and flourish and more importantly, a place where people come together to know and proclaim the truth about how it is to be a Christian through worship service, fellowship, Bible studies, prayer meetings and various activities that enable its members to support and encourage one another. PIBC is open to EVERYONE who wants to know and learn about Jesus through the Word of God – the Bible. It is open to ANYONE – be it out of curiosity or necessity – or both – ANYONE who wants to know and explore the meaning of our existence. But of course, there is only so much that words can describe and portray, we would like you to experience and to partake in the exciting journey that we are in. As a member of PIBC and I know I’m speaking in behalf of everyone, I invite you to COME AS YOU ARE. There is no need for anything, just an open heart and an open mind and a willingness to allow us to share with you the meaning of our faith. There is no obligation and with this I encourage you to embark on this journey. Our Pastors, church elders and members are willing to walk with you side by side in this exciting journey. To be honest, it is not an easy but a very fulfilling one, what have you got to lose?! As for me: “I was looking for a church, I found a home. I was looking for friends, I found family. I was looking for my Savior and there He was in the midst of us all, just waiting for me to come to Him. My Savior found me and He accepted me just as I am.” --

Nancy Mae Diaz --PIBC member since 2006Baptized August 2007Philippine International Churchhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/14300392614921225373noreply@blogger.com0
